As New York City strategically moves towards 80% greenhouse gas reduction by 2050, the City's Energy Conservation Code will go into effect on May 12, 2020.  The City's code regulates energy consumption in New York City buildings and must follow NYSECCC standards or establish more stringent requirements.  The code consulting firm, Burnham offers a summary of code changes in this article by Tom Walsh.
