NYC’s COVID-19 building requirements threaten to derail push to cap greenhouse gas emissions

In this Daily News piece by Michael Gartland, Jordan Barowitz of the Durst Organization points out the tough spot building owners are in with relation to improving buildings to keep tenants safe from COVID-19 and the demand by the City to save energy per Local Law 97.   

“To make a space more COVID safe, you’re using more carbon, and you’re penalized by Local Law 97," he stated.
